Congratulations to Armbrust Training clients Nicole Berg for winning the LH class and earning her pro card and to Jen Gutierrez for taking 5th in LH class.
Also to Dana Richards who also trains at APG and placed 8th in the heavies.

APG's Olympians!

Congratulations APG's Olympia competitors! We had an awesome weekend in Vegas this year with all our competitors finishing in the top 5!
First I would like to congratulate my wife Heather Armbrust for her best Olympia finish to date taking home the runner up title.
Phil Heath finished 5th. Phil will definitely be a Mr. Olympia soon.
Heather Mae French came in 3rd in figure also her best Olympia finish.
We are so proud of these 3 top pros! Not only are these people some of the worlds best athletes but also 3 of the nicest people you can know. Congrats!

I apologize for my delayed update on Heathers 2nd big win of the year. Last weekend Heather won the Houston Figure Pro. This lady is obviously one to look out for on the Olympia stage at the end of the month. Heather does this all while working long work weeks, playing in the LFL, working with other competitors, and raising her daughter. Way to do it girl! We are proud of you!

Olympia Countdown!

So here we are 4 weeks away from the BIG O! We are a little excited around here cause we do have 3 Olympia competitors at our gym. Kinda cool eh? I personally think this years O will be the most competitive in years and I know a lot of people agree with me. Phil Heath is going to be killin it folks! I have watched Phil prep for a few shows now and I think he is looking his all time best easily. He is going to be awesome on stage.

Heather Mae French is always awesome. I swear the girl never looks bad. She has impressed me with how she has been so consistent and put in her time and worked her butt off.

And then there is me. The other Heather.. slightly bigger. :) I will be there big and bubbly... and ready to go! I'm not a rookie no more and it's more fun this way. The Olympia stage is no joke and an experience of a life time.
4 weeks is the shortest and longest time at once. All of us here at APG wish all the best to Phil and Heather.

Holly Geersen is headed to USA bodybuilding nationals in Vegas tomorrow. Holly took 2nd in the heavies at last years competition. We would love to see Holly turn pro this weekend. We saw her this morning and wow, she is looking so good!!! Holly and her husband are chiropractors here in Denver.

Stephanie is a Armbrust Training client getting ready for her first USA in figure. Last year Stephanie's big win was the Colorado State overall title. We sure do have a long line of Colorado State title holders at APG. Steph is such an inspiration to us. This girl is one of our biggest transformations and hardest workers. As of right now she has lost over 25lbs for USA! We have a feeling she is going to shine next weeke nd in Vegas. Go Steph!

Meet Ranee Elder

Ranee is one of our members that does compete in NPC figure. Ranee loves competing so much it seems like she is always getting ready for her next show. Currently she is preparing for USA nationals in Las Vegas July 24th.

IFBB Pro Troy Alves stops in...

We had the pleasure of having IFBB pro Troy Alves stop in this weekend for a workout. Troy was in town for a guest appearance at the Mile High regional show. We can personally say after meeting a large number of pro bodybuilders Mr. Alves is one of the nicest, down to earth guys, and well worth stopping to say "hi" if you ever get the chance. Thank you Troy! All the best to him at the Atlantic City and Mr. O!

Update on this IFBB figure pro... Heather won her first pro show this past weekend! This lady has been working very hard to get to this point. Heather beat out 28 other woman for the California Figure Pro overall title May 23rd. Heather is well on her way to an awesome showing at the September Ms. Olympia. We will be bringing you updated pics of her on her way to Vegas. We are so proud of you Heather.

Special couple, Arlen and Dorena Anderson

Meet Arlen and Dorena Anderson. The couple came to APG/Armbrust Training back in January of this year to do their first show, the Northern Colorado in April. They have been two of the best people we have had the pleasure of meeting and having here. They did extremely well in their first show and we are very proud of the athletes that they have become. Armbrust Pro Gym was well represented at the Europa Show of Champions April 18th. Heather Mae French came in 2nd so she is now qualified for the Olympia! And
Armbrust Training's Rachel Cammon was 8th at her first pro show. Very nice job on her first pro show. We think Rachel is Olympia quality NOW and will potentially qualify this year. We will keep you posted with future contest news from these ladies.

Thanks for taking a look at our first Armbrust Pro Gym newsletter. We’re glad you did!

We’re having a fantastic 2009! Heather took 4^th at the Arnold! She’s very excited about this year’s Olympia. You may know that Heather transformed her training and preparation technique over the past year and she’s getting close to reaching her Olympia goal.

Maybe it’s time you made some changes to your routine to meet your goals. At Armbrust Pro Gym we believe in our motto “A Professional Gym for Everyone”. We want everyone to use our world class equipment and professional team of trainers, fitness consultants and nutrition experts to reach those unreached goals. And here’s another great thing about our gym – we have the best clients’ in the world from the top bodybuilders and figure and fitness pros to the equally dedicated group of clients who understand that fitness is a core part of health care. “I’m not goofing off at the gym I’m working on my health care”.

We continue to add equipment to the gym. This year we’ve acquired 12 pieces of strength equipment and 7 cardio in addition to our two new tanning beds. A couple of our new pieces have become very popular and we’re wondering how we did without them. We love new equipment. Our current project is to have fantastic equipment for every body part and we have to make sure that the movement and function of the equipment meets our standards. We’re very close- we just need a couple more pieces and a shoe horn to find the room.

The pro-shop carries all the top brands we use and recommend including “THE NEW PRODUCT from Phil Heath's trainer, Hany Rambod's EVOGEN”. We’re also adding a number of great items to Heather’s clothing with the "WHAT IT TAKES" logo which will be for sale on line soon.
Heathers next project is the south of the border dream gym in Mexico. Stay tune.
